Booking A Trip

Here’s how to book your family dive vacation, our 2023 KSC Terms & Conditions, and booking forms for your dive trip. We’ve made sure booking your vacation is as easy as possible. If you have any questions about booking your vacation or completing the booking form, please don’t hesitate to call us at (803) 419-2556 

Please read our 2023 KSC Terms & Conditions. Review your trip information, provide personal details on the application, and then pay your deposit. Trip insurance should be purchased within ten days of your deposit.

Subject to the availability of your chosen vacation, and receipt of payments, we’ll book your trip, process your deposit and send you a receipt. We’ll then issue your confirmation invoice and any additional information. Once your final payment has been received, your final documents will be sent to you 3-4 weeks before departure. Trip insurance is a must and should be purchased within seven days of your deposit. Please complete the forms below for a Kids Sea Camp (group week) or  Family Dive Adventure trip (not a group trip). Email, fax, or mail your forms with payment to confirm your trip. (fax# 843-353-2537).

1. 2023 KSC Terms & Conditions. (This form is required 1 per adult)  It is each family’s responsibility to inform all family members traveling of the terms and conditions of your trip. This form should be completed by the adult participant providing payment and every other adult in the group.

3. Advanced diver (extensive animal waiver) KSC WAIVERThis waiver is a comprehensive animal waiver (sharks, Rays, Whales) and is mandatory for Indonesia, Galapagos, Fiji,  Philippines, Palau, Yap, Galapagos, all Arenui trips, Mexico, Belize, and Grand Cayman. If you have any questions about the types of animals you will encounter or concerns, please get in touch with us at 803-419-2556.

4. Kids Sea Camp  Equipment Rental Request FormIf you need to rent any dive gear for adult divers or we provide gear for your kids, please include this form for sizing 1 per diver. Kids dive gear rental is included on all land-based destinations. Kids Sea Camp is an authorized Scubapro dealer and many other brands. Please call us if you want to purchase dive gear, luggage, lights, cameras, or more for your trip. We offer special rates for our clients. SASY, Seal & Jr. Open Water students are provided some Scubapro gear in their package to keep. Call us to find out what gear is free for kids.

5. Trip insurance & Emergency travel transportation Insurance MASAWe highly recommend all liveaboard trips have CFAR insurance and MASA.

Individual family vacation (not for a Kids Sea Camp trip)

We represent and sell many destinations of the best family dive resorts worldwide. We have personally vetted, worked with, and approved the operators we work with. They are all family-friendly PADI dive operations and resorts. We trust they are perfect for family vacations and use PADI as the base diving standard. Why PADI? We want to keep everyone safe and secure underwater, and PADI is the dive training standard. 

Reservation forms needed: Family Dive Adventures is a dive travel service providing custom family vacations to all divers as a Kids Sea Camp inc division. Family Dive Adventures offers customers many options for customized individual dive travel vacations to fit their family’s personal needs. Our specialist will assist you in making your family who is diving with kids or smaller group dive trip reservations year-round.

PASSPORTS & DOCUMENTATION: All travelers must have a current passport, adequate funds to support themselves, and a return airline ticket to travel out of the USA. Travelers must have a passport valid for six months from the date of entry to any foreign country.

The travelers must ensure they have the proper documentation to travel into each country on their itinerary and for re-entry and return to their country. Please check with the appropriate consulate and your chosen airline carrier to ensure you have the proper documentation. Always check your passport and visa requirements. US citizens may go to the US Department of State website at www.travel.state.gov for more information. The website also has information for consulates by country to assist with requirements.

There are special requirements for children leaving the US, and many countries have adopted special needs for the protection of children. If you are traveling with a child that is not your own, a single parent with a child, a child with a different last name, or traveling without the child’s natural parents, you will require documentation proving your right to travel with children. Since regulations vary by country, contact your consulate or embassy of your country and visit the immigration site of the country you are traveling to for the requirements. Kids Sea Camp reservation office and staff will not assume responsibility for passengers not having the correct documentation.

2023 KSC Terms & ConditionsNo refund policy applies to all payments made to Kids Sea Camp inc. This includes disruptions due to weather, illness, pandemic, epidemic, acts of God, war,  government mandates, canceled/delayed flights, and all unforeseen circumstances outside of Kid Sea Camp Inc control.

All payments are non-refundable. However, you have until March 1st for Summer/Fall scheduled trips and December 1st for spring break trips to change your destination to another one within the same calendar year.

The total amount of your deposit or payments made will be applied to your new destination based on availability when you change your reservation and wish to confirm space on a new destination. Promotions or discounts from the original booking that is being changed will not apply. Dollar for Dollar will be credited to your new reservation without a change fee when changes are made as per the above dates. Terms and Conditions apply to all trips.

Here are some of the things we do

  • Special transfers to and from airports and hotels were available; not all buses are created equal.
  • Private scuba instructor to dive one on 1 with a medically qualified diver (additional cost does apply)
  • Diving transfer assistance on and off dive boats 
  • Special one-on-one training requests (additional cost does apply)
  •  Handicap rooms, if available, at your chosen resort
  • Confirmation that the resort can work with your needs when your information and requirements are provided and approved.
  • Direct communication with the resort for additional optional land, care, food, or other services needed but not able to be provided by Kids Sea Camp
  • Needing a PADI Pro dive buddy (additional cost does apply)
  • Refresher course (additional fee does apply)
  • Need or want to dive shallow and have a private instructor to guide you (additional cost does apply)
  • Need two dive Pros for adaptive diving (additional cost does apply)
  • Hearing impaired, we have Hearing impaired dive instructors
  • Wheel Chair assist on and off dive boats- If applicable with the operation, can be provided
  • ADD, or ADHD divers that are certified need a private instructor or DM to be one-on-one with them. (additional cost does apply)
  • High functioning Autistic certified divers- private dive instructor. (additional fee does apply)

PADI Medical forms and waivers are needed for Scuba Diving related activities.

Kids Sea Camp does not provide or arrange private daily special needs non-diving care, feeding, medical needs, or in-water supervision for non-divers.  We do not possess the capacity or qualifications to provide this type of service.  We can arrange accommodations and transportation meals and provide direct contact to resorts for other services if available to be arranged.

Risk Factors to know when considering scuba diving or scuba diving-related activities. A physician must make a clinical assessment of the diver to decide whether diving is contraindicated for these medical problems.

Severe risks must be evaluated, addressed, and discussed with your doctor. A physician must make a clinical assessment of the diver to decide whether diving is contraindicated for this category of medical problem.

A severe risk condition implies that an individual will be at a substantially elevated risk of serious injury or death compared with the general population and should not dive.

Some of the principal conditions in this category are:

  • Asthma
  • Recent heart surgery
  • Severe lung or chest diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19 (mainly where surgery or intubation is involved)
  • Any history of Epilepsy, fitting, convulsions, seizures, or taking medications to prevent them.
  • Diabetes requires insulin.
  • Pneumothorax (collapsed lung), even after a surgical procedure designed to prevent a recurrence
  • Any history of neurological abnormality where there is a significant probability of unconsciousness
  • Pregnancy

Relative Or Temporary Risks

The following conditions are termed relative risk and will cause a moderate increase in risk, which in some instances may be acceptable. A physician must make a clinical assessment of the diver to decide whether diving is contraindicated for this category of medical problem. Some of these medical problems may be temporary, and Dive Medical will determine if and when the diver can be considered fit to dive.

On the list of significant conditions that may disqualify you from diving or participating in dive-related activities pending a medical assessment are:

  • Breathing issues, including frequent or severe attacks of hay fever or allergy, frequent colds, flu, sinusitis, recent pneumonia, or bronchitis
  • Behavioral health, mental or psychological problems (claustrophobia, agoraphobia, active psychosis, panic attacks)
  • Recurring complicated migraine headaches whose symptoms or severity impair motor or cognitive function, neurologic manifestations, or taking medications to prevent them
  • Recent blackouts, fainting, or partial loss of consciousness
  • Head injury with loss of consciousness in the past five years
  • Intracranial Tumor or Aneurysm
  • Frequent or severe motion sickness
  • Dysentery or dehydration requiring medical intervention
  • Past dive accidents or decompression sickness
  • Inability to perform moderate exercise
  • Recurrent back problems or back or spinal surgery
  • Back, arm, or leg problems following surgery, injury, or fracture
  • High blood pressure or taking medication to control it
  • Heart attack, heart disease, angina, heart surgery, or blood vessel surgery
  • Sinus surgery
  • Ear disease or surgery, recurrent ear problems, hearing loss, or ear-related .problems affecting the balance
  • Hemophilia, bleeding, or other blood disorders
  • Hernia
  • Ulcers or ulcer surgery
  • Colostomy or ileostomy
  • Recreational drug use or alcoholism, or treatment for these in the past five years
  • Regularly taking prescription or non-prescription medications (Except birth control or anti-malarial treatments)
  • Have a high cholesterol level
  • Have a family history of heart attack or stroke
  • Are currently receiving medical care
  • Have diabetes mellitus, even if controlled by diet alone
